Learn How To Make Our Oil-Free Beetroot Hummus

Recently, Sonya Gomez and Angela Stanger of Plant Based Meals joined Tracy Childs of PlantDiego for a Cook-Along. During the demo, they shared every secret on how to make their delicious Oil-Free Beetroot Hummus.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 can garbanzo beans (we prefer low salt but any can will do)

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp beetroot powder (can be found online or can boil one beet until tender- use fork)

  • 1/4-1/2 tsp sea salt (salt to taste- depends if beans are salted and if you are low sodium)

  • Juice of one fresh lemon (1/4 cup of juice)
